Hello all- Sarah and I are back safe and sound from Colombia. All I have to say is Colombia is a fabulous country!!! I loved being there, loved the people, loved the weather, didn't love the Giant South American Centipede on me in my bed, loved the music, loved the food, loved seeing Kathy, loved the beer, loved the beach, really loved Tayrona and Cartagena. We felt so safe and welcomed. I'm going to post a couple pics, but I need to get most of them from Sarah. By the way (for those of you who know Kathy)- she is doing great and looking gorgeous!

Hi there...
Just rread your blog and saw those wonderful pics from Tayrona... I'm going to Cartagena and Barrranquilla in February and would love to stay in those tarona huts.. I had a search online but couldn't get speciifc details... would you have a web address or anything that I could hunt them down with?

Sure, just send me your email address and I'll give you some details. We had it a little easier because our friend lives in Colombia and could plan things from that end. But we did get the business cards from the Ecohabs where we stayed (definitely the best ones there) so you could make reservations that way. I would also recommend arranging transportation from Santa Marta ahead of time or it gets difficult. Cartagena is wonderful as well!

No run-ins with the FARC. Felt very safe! Except for the poisonous Giant South American centipede in my bed one night- that was the only Colombian terrorism I experienced.
